Ruthanne Fromm

d. February 6, 2025

Ruthanne Fromm of Powder Springs, GA passed peacefully February 6th 2025, surrounded by her children and the loving thoughts of her entire family and community of friends. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, quick with a smile and her quiet wit. Ruth was born in Detroit, MI and raised in Farmington, MI with her 2 siblings. She married Delmer Duncan and raised 2 children in Farmington Hills. She later met and married ‘the love of her life’ Jack Fromm, and moved to South Carolina before permanently settling in Powder Springs in 1989. Ruth enjoyed a varied working career across multiple companies, and retired from the Purchasing department for AATC at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport.

During her retirement years Ruth enjoyed gardening, traveling and catching up with her grandchildren. Newly widowed, Ruth took in a stray dog 12 years ago and he became her constant companion. She and her little white dog, Casey, were often spotted out walking in the neighborhood, checking out the local gardens and chatting with her neighbors. Her neighbors returned the love when Ruth’s health started to fail, walking Casey, sharing meals and regularly checking in on her. After a recent 16 month battle with cancer, Ruth expressed her wish that it was "time to go home and be with Jack”.

Ruth is survived by her daughter/son-in-law Dee (“Annie”)/Jim Stikeman; her son/daughter-in-law Dave/Judi Duncan; her 3 grandchildren Shane Duncan, Amanda (Stikeman) Messina and husband Tony, and Elizabeth Stikeman and fiancé Ryan Lustyik. She is also survived by her nephews Don and Jim Sullivan and her brother Ron Frank of Detroit, MI. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Clara (Bober) and Herman Frank, her husbands Delmer Duncan and Jack Fromm, and her sister Mary Sadrack.

A celebration of life will be held in March in Powder Springs, GA.
