Social Security Benefits

Our informed staff is well-equipped to help you access your Social Security benefits, which you may qualify for if you meet any of the following requirements:



• A widow or widower, age 60 or older – or at any age, if caring for an entitled child younger than 16 or with a disability
• Unmarried children up to 18 (19 if they are attending a primary or secondary school full-time)
• Children who were disabled before reaching 22, as long as they retain their disability status
• A dependent parent (or parents), who are at least 62 years old

When our staff at Simply Cremation of Georgia file the death certificate, the Social Security Administration is automatically notified of the death. This is only a notification; you will still need to contact your local Social Security office to file for any benefits. Of course, our knowledgeable staff is available to answer any questions you may have.
